This year celebrates the 12th year that Nick and Jacqui have delivered this Pain Management in Practice workshop. They have reviewed the evidence to continually refine the delivery of this workshop to small groups of clinicians and return to work professionals around Australia. Feedback has helped shape the workshop to meet the needs of current participants. Their integrated presentation style within the workshop allows participants to be engaged throughout both days and enhances the richness of the learning experience.

Nick and Jacqui work clinically at Empower Rehab, a clinic specialising in the management of complex and chronic pain conditions, located in Heidelberg Heights, Melbourne. They have both been invited to present at the Australian Pain Society conference, been invited speakers to a series of WorkCover Employer Networks and have had papers accepted to present at the Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and Australian Physiotherapy Association conferences as well as presenting at webinars, seminars and panel forums around Australia on best practice pain management.

Nick is a physiotherapist who has focused on the management of complex and persistent pain after working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He has also previously worked as an Occupational Rehabilitation consultant and as an Injury Management Advisor for a large self insured employer. He managed two pain management and functional restoration teams and also established a highly successful pain management service. He was the winner of the treating health practitioner award in 2012.
